What we accomplished this week

I am working with three other friends of mine. One of them is Natalie thats in the same film class, the other two are Monica Manzo and Jose Camposano. We are creating a narrative film. We want it to be a comedy. So far we have been working on the screenplay and are deciding on when we will start filming. I hope to have the screenplay done by monday so by next week we can finally begin filming our film.

What music means to me

Music is universal. The emotions that is interpreted in music is such an incredible sensation. I honestly dont know what i would do without music because its a nice way to feel connected to someone else. Each song is a story and it can either portray feelings such as happiness or sadness. I find it amazing that music can make me feel a sort of warmth inside because every single note and beat creates a connection. To me music means everything. It can help me feel better whenever i feel down or it can just add a bit of funk into my life. I prefer listening to albums sometimes rather than just the singles that everyone hears. Usually i do pay attention to just the single songs because im not as interested in the artists to listen to their whole entire work. I enjoy listening to artists that write about their personal lives or even the most randomest ballad. Music can be a form of therapy because even though you may not understand the language of the song the beat of the song allows you to feel a certain way as well as the tone. My favorite artist is beyonce and my favorite band is the airborne toxic event. These two are different in so many ways especially genre wise but they both have a clear way to appeal to emotion that i find essential in music. I prefer music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. Some bands/artists that i enjoy to listen to from those times are Fleetwood Mac, The Mamas and Papas, Cocteau Twins, The Doors, The Cure, Donna Summer, The Cranberries and many more.

Problems and Struggles

I believe that Bell High School has one big problem and that is that the students dont care enough to bother with their academics. Fortunately, I have been lucky enough to fall into that category of students, but throughout my four years at this highschool there are many kids that simply do not care about their future. Most of them seem lazy and care more about things that in 10 years will not matter at all. I have seen that some students are very lazy in completing simple tasks. I realized this during my junior year when i sat next to two seniors who just simply didnt do a thing! It would bother me because it seemed pretty pointless to come to school and do nothing the whole year, and at the last month of school they would try to make up everything they didnt do in a semester. They put their eligibility to graduate on a thin line by not caring. I feel that many students have a reasonable explanation for their lack of concern towards their academics, but very few are actually able to speak up about it. Whether they are having issues at home or personal issues, most students will remain silent. Maybe they fear speaking to a counselor because they dont feel safe and that should be changed. There needs to be more concern and students need to care more because in a way they are driving themselves into a basic life, where theyll get paid minimum wage and maybe not even like their job. Students need to be more aware of what their future may turn out to be at the end if they continue to care about pointless things.

The Most Interesting Person I Know

Honestly, I know more than one interesting person because these people are my closest friends and each one of them have such an interesting background that makes them the people they are. But aside from people I personally know, Beyonce would be such an interesting individual. Yes, she is a star and is known worldwide. She is such an inspirational woman and it amazes me on how much people actually look up to her. Of course people will always give negative comments, but it is the way she keeps herself so private that makes me so interested in her. Everyone knows about her love life and her daughter, but nobody knows EVERYTHING about her. Many can stalk her (this would be kinda creepy but theres people out there that actually do) but no one can find out. The way she presents herself as a woman in the music industry shows alot about her character because many women do not succeed in that world but somehow she has been able to create an audience that puts her on a pedestal. I believe this is because Beyonce is Beyonce, she is herself and has been gifted with talent that very few artists have. She is a role model to many young women, including myself, and has showed us that anyone can do anything they believe and set their mind on no matter where they come from and what obstacles they go through in their own personal lives.
